Standardisation contributes to the improvement of productivity, competitiveness and economic growth

UNE contributes to the development of the economy by developing technical standards and international cooperation activities. UNE is Spain's only Standardisation Organisation, designated by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness to the European Commission. Through its activities, it fosters the development of an infrastructure of quality by promoting knowledge transfer and raising business standards.

UNE represents the interests of Spanish companies and society in European and international standardisation organisations.

​We help organisations to address their challenges in aspects such as exports, innovation and the digital world; training and education; and lastly in developing the company's social responsibility.



​The Directorate for International Cooperation and Relations carries out technical support projects in developing countries with the aim of facilitating the introduction of products and services in the international market.

At the same time, UNE attends equivalent companies from other countries that have an interest in discovering the Spanish and European quality infrastructure model.

UNE has an in-house team of experts specialised in different sectors of our activity and with broad experience. Likewise, it has an external team of experts specialised in technical support projects. Their skills and abilities have undergone comprehensive evaluation and testing.
