Collaborating with the private sector and Public Administrations and Bodies to achieve the most widespread implementation and use of standardisation activities and, thus, to address major challenges of the likes of climate change, the sustainable use of resources and the environment, research and innovation, the ageing of the population, integration of people with disabilities, protection of consumers and users, the competitiveness of companies, worker safety and working conditions, for the sake of public interest.

Promoting the Spanish participation in international and regional standardisation organisations, especially in Latin America, and representing Spain therein in the corresponding terms, while assuming the rights and duties inherent to such representation, as an instrument of cooperation for development.
