Alfredo Berges Valdecantos, President of the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE), took part in the event organized by AECEM to mark the first anniversary of Standard UNE 420001, which consolidates best practices in the business advisory sector.
During his remarks, Berges emphasized the importance of this standard for a sector made up of more than 60,000 professionals and SMEs providing advisory services to Spanish companies. UNE 420001 lays out a framework of best practices that strengthens legal certainty and trust between companies and public administrations, based on the principles of professionalism, ethics, and responsibility.
The event, promoted by AECEM with the support of CEOE, highlighted how standardization drives competitiveness and recognition within the sector. In this regard, it was recalled that, as evidenced by the EOI Report, standardization contributes to economic growth and helps improve SME productivity— an impact exemplified by the implementation of UNE 420001.
