The Spanish Association for Standardization held the UNE Meeting “New developments in the ISO 19011 Standard - Guidelines for auditing management systems" online on 25 April.
The updates to the UNE-EN ISO 19011 standard, Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, currently under review, were presented. This update incorporates changes to adapt internal and external audits to the new needs faced by organizations that have implemented management system standards.
This global standard helps to understand the principles of auditing, the management of an audit programme, and the conduct of audits for management systems in any discipline. It is applicable to all organizations that need to plan and conduct internal or external audits of management systems, or manage an audit programme.
The deadline for submitting comments through the UNE Committee on Quality Management and Conformity Assessment (CTN-UNE 66), which is chaired by the Spanish standards body, is 26 May.
