On 22 November, the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, held its annual Meeting of Chairpersons and Secretaries of CTN-UNE 2024 at its headquarters in hybrid format. The session was attended by representatives of leading business associations, companies, public administrations and other relevant Spanish entities that are members of UNE.
The aim of this traditional gathering is to exchange experiences on the standardization needs of Spanish organizations, through the chairpersons and secretaries of CTN-UNE, in order to provide an effective response to their major challenges in an increasingly global, complex and competitive environment, in keeping with UNE's Strategy 2025.
The session also introduced UNE's portfolio of strategic programmes focused on the Technical Standardization Committees and the internationalization of the organization; progress on the digitization of the standardization system was addressed; and the results of a survey conducted with the secretariats of the Committees, and the defined action plan, were shared.
The Director General of UNE and Vice President of ISO, Javier García, welcomed the attendees, while the UNE's Director of Standardization and Stakeholder Relations, Paloma García, closed the event.
