The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, a Spanish member of the ISO, are organizing the webinar 'Tourism and the impacts of COVID-19: the role of standards in mitigating the crisis.'
This event, which will be held in English, will be participated in by global tourism experts, who will be contributing with their opinons and experience to prevent the contagion of COVID-19 in the sector and allow the tourism industry to develop its activity in safe conditions.
Representing Spain will be Maricruz Cádiz of the Spanish Institute for Quality Tourism (ICTE) and Natalia Ortiz de Zárate, from UNE and Secretary of the ISO/TC 228 International Tourism Committee.
Among other topics, they will be presenting the future ISO PAS 5643 standard for reducing the contagion of coronavirus in tourism.
The ISO Specification project is based on the 21 UNE 0066 Specifications published last summer by the UNE and endorsed by the ICTE. Spain is leading this global initiative, exporting its experience and knowledge all over the world.
