The UNE and RAI join forces to promote engineering in Spain

The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, and the Royal Academy of Engineering, RAI, have signed a framework partnership agreement that seeks to develop initiatives that shine a light on Spanish engineering as a whole.

The two entities will coordinate to launch programmes, projects and activities that encourage study, research, innovation, debate and discussion around techniques related to engineering, as well as to its scientific and social foundations.

In the words of Javier García, UNE's CEO, "This agreement is fundamental to business development, since it will allow us to jointly promote actions that drive innovation in the field of engineering in Spain".

For Antonio Colino, president of the Royal Academy of Engineering, "Engineering is a safe asset in Spain's production sector. The shared objectives and the collaboration between institutions dedicated to supporting industry and the development of Spain's production sector is fundamental at times like these, when we must continue to work towards improving our productivity and boost the use of technologies that bring more added value to our companies".

Both companies underscore the importance of this agreement to showcase the talent of the professionals in Spain's engineering sector, which is renowned internationally.
