07/05/2024

The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, is launching an open call for tender to recruit a team to revise the European technical reports on ICT accessibility, CEN/CLC/ETSI TR 101551:2014 and CEN/CLC/ETSI/TR 101552:2014.

UNE leads the CEN, CENELEC and ETSI Joint Technical Standardisation Body's secretariat on ICT accessibility (CEN-CLC-ETSI JTB eAccessibility).

This open call for tender, which is part of the European Commission's standardisation request M/587, aims to select a project team composed of a Project Team Leader and two Project Team experts in the field of ICT accessibility.

This Project Team will contribute to the ACCICT Project, which aims to revise two European technical reports that support the ICT Accessibility Standard EN 301549. These are the technical reports CEN/CLC/ETSI TR 101551:2014 “Guidelines on the use of accessibility award criteria suitable for public procurement of ICT products and services in Europe", and CEN/CLC/ETSI/TR 101552:2014 “Guidance for the application of conformity assessment to accessibility requirements for public procurement of ICT products and services in Europe".

This work will contribute to implementation of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on accessibility requirements for products and services).

The application period for this open call for tender starts today, 7 May, and ends on 11 June 2024.

Applications should be sent in English and in the format given in Annex B of the call for tender (mandatory) to fmachicado@une.org.
