The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, has set up the Mirror Group of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization with the aim of monitoring the actions that are underway to respond to the challenges set by the European Standardization Strategy.
These actions focus mainly on defining lines of work to enhance the efficiency of the European system, as well as to identify and prioritize sectors in which the development of standards will support the deployment of European public policies. The development and implementation of the Annual Work Programme for European Union standards for 2024 is particularly important, and will include actions in the main areas of green and digital transition, and resilience and the internal market. The UNE seeks to identify the areas that are priorities for Spain and to contribute to their implementation.
The Mirror Group of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization reports to the UNE Board of Directors and includes representatives of UNE members, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism; the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge; the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation; the Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, and the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures; the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda; the Ministry of Defence; the Ministry of Health and national members of the employers represented in this forum.
