A dozen new members join UNE

Close to ten leading associations and companies from the Spanish production fabric have just become members of the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, bringing total membership to more than 500.

This is the Association of Manufacturers, Distributors and Importers of Equipment Goods (AFIBA); the Standard Spanish Association of Technical Defence, Security, Aeronautics and Space Companies (TEDAE); the Standard National Confederation of Installation and Maintenance Companies (CNI); the Standard Association of Regulatory Compliance Professionals - CUMPLEN; the Standard Spanish Society of Medical Physics (SEFM); the Standard National Distance Education University (UNED); The Polytechnic University of Catalonia · BarcelonaTech (UPC); The World Compliance Association (WCA) and Green Capital Power.

UNE's membership distinguishes organisations with a superior strategic view of their value contribution to their sector and the Spanish economy as a whole. UNE members are committed to the quality of the products and services of their respective sectors, through the development standards that help companies and administrations successfully overcome their major challenges.

In addition, being a member of UNE improves the influence of the organisations on international and European standards, which are essential for their competitiveness.

UNE members are the real driving force and support of the standardisation system, representing virtually all of Spain's business and economic fabric.

Membership of the Spanish standardization body means belonging to a network of multisectoral and international contacts, an exemplary case of public-private partnership.

Standards bring economic benefits: for companies, they can account for up to 5% of their annual sales revenue, while for the Spanish economy as a whole, standards already account for 1% of GDP.

All companies that wish to do so can join UNE: corporate (sector associations), members (companies and institutions) and individuals.
