Public procurement workshop

18/02/2019

Directive 2014/24/EU on public procurement and its transposition through Act 9/2017, on Public Sector Contracts, establishes the use of technical standards to establish the technical requirements. In order to facilitate the use of this directive, a joint initiative between standardisation bodies and the European Commission has published a “Guide for referencing standards in public procurement in Europe”. This workshop is based on the contents of this Guide with the aim of offering practical information on the use of standards in public procurement.

PROGRAMME:

  • Presentation and introduction to technical standards.
  • Understanding standardisation: origin, objectives and legal framework.
  • How to reference standards: practical exercises and requirements.
  • Identification and reference of certificates in procurement processes: conformity assessment and accreditation.

The workshop will be given in Spanish and English, without translation services. Please bring a tablet, laptop or similar device for carrying out practical exercises.

Free workshop, limited places. 27 February, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
