The Spanish Road Association (AEC) marks 70 years. The AEC currently has almost 200 partners that represent all the sector's professional fields linked roads: public administrations, sector associations, the automotive industry, motorway concessionaires, research centres, etc; some of its noteworthy areas of activity include: road safety, environmental protection, new technologies, new forms of financing and promotion of the service quality provided by road infrastructures.
AEC has been a member of UNE for almost 15 years; it performs the role of secretariat for the TSC 199 traffic management equipment. Through its support to standardisation, it contributes towards the roads fulfilling their mission, something that is essential for the well-being of society and for economic growth.
