UNE Magazine, latest issue now available

The latest issue of the UNE magazine is now available:

• What happened in Spanish standardization in 2019?UNE approved its 2019-2021 Strategic Plan, which aims to help businesses and Public Administrations promote the standards they need to tackle major challenges. It also created Advisory Committees to strengthen public-private cooperation.
  

• SDG 17, Partnerships for the goals. Standardisation, by its very nature and principles, makes a valuable contribution to building solid global partnerships that enable organisations to achieve the UN's SDGs.
  

• UNE-ISO 22483, standardised quality in hotels around the world. For the first time, a voluntary standard unifies the criteria applicable to hotels worldwide. And it was Spain that coordinated the work involved in two intense years of discussions.
  

• Standards in our lives: Hotels. The UNE-ISO 22483 encompasses numerous activities, from staff to security, taking in cleaning, service and customer satisfaction.

• Standardisation in action: CTN 206/SC 114 Marine energies. Wave and current energy converters. Spain has great potential to lead developments in the field of marine energy, both due to its natural resources and its technological capacity. Spanish experts are developing international standards.
  

• Boost for the fire prevention sector. The fire prevention sector, represented by TECNIFUEGO, proposes a series of measures to reactivate the economy and improve safety in the sector.
