The Minister of Development, José Luis Ábalos, has signed a collaboration agreement with the chairman of the Executive Commission of the Port Authority of El Salvador (CEPA), Nelson Edgardo Vanegas, to define and consolidate cooperation in the field of rail transport management and airport and port development. Within the framework of this agreement, Renfe will provide consultancy services on the development of a new suburban line between the capital San Salvador and Sitio del Niño. Planning and design of passenger and freight railway services, maintenance and modernisation of material, security of rail operations or training in different areas are some of the planned areas of collaboration.
