Revised version of ISO 50001 on Energy Management Systems published

21/08/2018

The ISO has published the standard ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems. Requirements with user guide. This is a review of the document published in 2011 and represents a strategic tool for more effective and more efficient energy management in organisations. Its benefits range from a reduction in costs to lower emissions.

Developed by the Committee ISO/TC 301 Energy Management and Savings, its new features include a greater emphasis in the role of senior management and in the fact that energy management forms part of the culture of organisations. By incorporating a high-level structure, it is easier to integrate with more general management systems

The standard is now available in English and French. Buy.
