The specification on digitising Spanish industry is now published

Specification UNE 0060:2018 Industry 4.0. Digitisation Management System The main objective of the requirements is to promote the full digitisation of organisations through an effective management system.

This specification establishes a series of requirements that have been debated and agreed by a multi-sectorial group of sectorial associations (lighting, the automotive industry, food and drink, construction, and technology), large companies and SMEs, under the auspices and with the direct involvement of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR). The Specification has been drawn up by UNE, the Spanish Association for Standardization.

The Specification establishes four basic compulsory processes that must be included in digitisation planning:

  • Design of products/services
  • Manufacture
  • Logistics and distribution
  • Relationship with the customer
The specification requirements have been grouped in such a way that they allow the maximum digitisation of each organisation. At the same time, it focuses on processes that have a significant impact on earnings, costs and customer experience.
These are the four basic processes, to which each organization will add its own essential processes. The specification allows the organisation to focus on what brings it value and to concentrate on what is important to it.
It is a document that follows the methodological line of MINCOTUR's HADA (Advanced Digital Self-Diagnostic Tool).
