The Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, recently published the new version of the Standard UNE 66102 Management Systems for Tachograph technical centres.
This document has been revised to take into account the new intelligent tachographs on the market. UNE 66102 includes the digitisation of control through tachographs, particularly lorries. The tachograph is connected to a satellite that locates it via GPS.
The standard is applicable to tachograph technical centres: their management, facilities and provision of service, to ensure that any action carried out on tachographs responds to defined, evaluable and traceable procedures. It is compulsory for all centres that want to be certified in accordance with Royal Decree 125/2017.
Standards efficiently support the regulation and deployment of public policies. In fact, 12% of the UNE catalogue is cited in national law.
