Now the standard has been added to the catalogue of Spanish standards as UNE-EN ISO 50001.
The UNE-EN ISO 50001 standard has been drawn up as part of CTN 216 Energy efficiency, climate change and renewable energies.
Its main innovations lie in a greater emphasis on the role of senior management and on the fact that energy management should form part of the culture of organisations. By incorporating a high-level structure, it is easier to integrate with more general management systems
