On 13 November, Brussels will be hosting a major event on innovation, which is expected to be attended by 500 experts from different countries, including Spain. People wishing to attend need to register via this form.
Under the title Boosting innovation through standards: the gateway to markets, this event has been organized by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).
The aim of the conference is to raise awareness of standardisation and the benefits offered by its use and the development of standards for research and innovation, especially when it comes to dissemination, bringing the market closer and boosting the real exploitation of its results, as well as explaining how it can be used in practice.
The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, will be very active in the initiative, collaborating in the organisation, being present with a stand and moderating one of the parallel sessions on "How to integrate standardisation in R&D&i."
Among the Spanish speakers is Eduardo Beltrán de Nanclares, Director of Innovation and Technology at the Mondragon Corporation. In addition, one of the H2020 exhibition projects is FORESEE, in which UNE participates.
The conference has:

The event is financed by the European Union and EFTA and developed by CEN and CENELEC, represented by 10 national standardisation bodies (AFNOR, ASI, ASRO, BDS, DIN, DS, NEN, NSAI, UNE, UNI) and CCMC.
