The Spanish Electricity Industry Association (UNESA) has renewed its mission, objectives and also its image and name, connecting with the changes in society and its energy needs. Thus, Aeléc (the association of electricity companies), has been formed, and it is made up of companies present throughout the electricity value chain, in which EDP, Endesa, Iberdrola, Naturgy and Viesgo are associated. The activity of the association is focused on the propagation, disclosure and promotion of the technical and regulatory aspects of electric activities and, in particular, on distribution activity. The association is also working to establish itself as a key player in helping to implement a suitable energy transition and the digital transformation of the electric sector in Spain.
