The Spanish Association for Quality (AEC) celebrates the 60th anniversary of its creation this year.
The AEC is a private non-profit entity founded in 1961, whose purpose is to promote quality as an engine of competitiveness and sustainability for its professional companies and the country. It currently comprises more than 1,000 associated companies.
Among other activities of the AEC, designated by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), it has the honour of being the exclusive organiser for Spain of World Quality Day, which was introduced in 1990 by the UN.
The AEC has been a member of the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE) since 1986 and forms part of its Board of Directors.
