On March 22, the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, is holding the meeting "Standardisation of devices and materials for Wearables" in its headquarters. This will be a briefing session presenting the standardisation activities being developed by the IEC relating to devices and materials intended for use in digital body accessories (wearables).
The new projects being developed by the international committee IEC TC 124 Wearable electronic devices and technologies assess the safety and functional characteristics of different types of devices, sensors (pressure, temperature, and movement) and electronic textiles that are used in this type of accessory, to guarantee their quality and reliability.
Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange opinions on these projects, analyse their relevance for Spanish companies, and make any contributions they consider opportune for constructing the national model, advancing this field for the industrial sectors.
