The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, will hold an online seminar on 3 December on the role of standardization in meeting the challenges of the ecological transition, organized in collaboration with CEOE to mark World Standardization Day.
At the event, the Director General of the European standardization bodies CEN and CENELEC, Elena Santiago, will explain the European support framework for the standardization of ecological transition policies.
Also sharing their vision and experience will be public entities (MITECO and MINCOTUR) and private entities (UNESID, ANFAC, AOP and AELEC).
The ecological transition is not only a great challenge facing humanity, but also a pillar of economic recovery. For decades, standardisation has addressed issues such as climate change, the circular economy, energy efficiency and environmental quality, harmonising good practices, establishing a common language and providing reliable tools that generate trust between all parties.
The contribution of standardisation to these areas adds significant support to the ecological transition that is useful both for public and private entities.
