On 24 April, the Ministry of Industry, in collaboration with UNE, and with the participation of industry representatives, is holding a seminar in Madrid to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to the Ecodesign Directive.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the Ministry for Ecological Transition, together with the Spanish industry and other interested organisations, have spent months preparing the Spanish position for the adoption of the alignment regulations that a wide range of products have to comply with regarding Ecodesign and Energy Labelling. Specifically, the Regulations include: home refrigeration appliances, washing machines, dishwashers, lighting devices, electric motors, transformers, electronic monitors, refrigeration devices for direct sale, welding equipment, external power supply equipment and data storage equipment.
UNE has the standard
UNE-EN-ISO 14006 Environmental Management Systems. Guidelines for incorporating ecodesign, la cual ayuda an identificar, controlar y mejorar de manera continua la gestión del ecodiseño en lo que respecta a los aspectos ambientales de los productos. Many sectors involved in the design process (furniture, electrical, industrial) apply this standard.
Javier García, CEO of UNE, Javier García, will attend the seminar.
