Seminar: need for standards for AI, Big Data and IoT

06/11/2019

The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, as the national standardization body, and the Secretary of State for Digital Development (SEAD), will offer the seminar The need for standards in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and IoT on 11 November 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. at the SEAD headquarters.

Attendance is free, but due to limited places, registration is required using this form before 7 November.

The European Commission, in its communication COM (2019) 486 on the Union's annual programme for European standardization for 2020, designated Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things as strategic areas in which standards need to be developed to provide technical support for the deployment of its policies and the effective functioning of the single market.

The session will provide information on the international and European standardization initiatives in these areas and the new UNE technical bodies through which Spanish businesses and other national organizations can influence these key standards for their competitiveness.

The meeting will be open and participatory and attendees will have the opportunity to exchange opinions on the initiatives and to ask any questions they may consider opportune in order to help them assess the feasibility of their participation in the standardization process.
