In public information, the future UNE-ISO 37301 on compliance management

The PNE-ISO/DIS 37301 Compliance management systems project is in the public information period.Requirements and guidelines for use. Any organisation or citizen who wishes to do so will be able to access the full text of the project and comment on it via the UNE website until 13 May.

Once published as a standard, the project will replace the current standard UNE-ISO 19600 Compliance management systems.Guidelines, published in 2015.

The fundamental difference between UNE-ISO 19600 and the future UNE-ISO 37301 is that UNE-ISO 37301 will establish requirements and guidance for the implementation of a compliance management system in organisations, in response to the recommendations currently established by UNE-ISO 19600. This progress will allow the effectiveness of the compliance systems implemented by organisations in accordance with UNE-ISO 37301 to be verified by an independent third party, as it contains measurable requirements.

Compliance management systems help organisations to comply with the legislation that is applicable to them and with the commitments assumed with their stakeholders. They reduce the economic or reputational risks of failing to comply with them and are a fundamental tool for organisations to comply with their corporate social responsibility policies. They undoubtedly help to create a culture of integrity and compliance that fosters sustained success and the survival of the organisation.

The standard is aimed at organisations of all types, regardless of their size, activity or nature.
