The global ESG standard for organisations, in UNE magazine

The March issue of the UNE magazine is now available:

• UNE-ISO IWA 48, a guide for ESG management in organisations. This global Standard is an international response to organisations' growing need to hardwire sustainability into their operations, products and services.
  
  
• UNE's annual standards programme: a response to the challenges of 2025. The standards included help Spanish companies and society to successfully tackle their major challenges in line with the UNE Strategy. Includes an article by Javier García, UNE's Director General.
  
  
• Special report on Spain's quality infrastructure. Interview with José Manuel Prieto (Deputy Director General for Industrial Quality and Safety in the Ministry of Industry and Tourism): "Quality infrastructure is essential for the development of countries".
  
  
• Second UNE Foresight Study: Innovation in bioplastics. As part of UNE's commitment to innovation, the organisation has published its second Foresight Study, this time looking at bioplastics. It examines the industry, unpacking its regulation, the state of its economic development, European R&D and innovation projects and today's standardisation framework.
  
  
• Global standards for biodiversity protection. Biodiversity is now a core component of global and national sustainability targets. The UNE Committee on Biodiversity (CTN-UNE 328) is the way for Spanish organisations to be aware of and take part in international standardisation initiatives in this field.
  
  
• Electrotechnical Advisory Committee. New series of reports presenting the work of UNE's Advisory Committees; the first is about the Electrotechnical Committee.
  
  
• Standards in our lives: Book Day. 23 April is World Book and Copyright Day. UNE standards make it possible to enjoy the pleasure of reading whether in its traditional hard copy format or in the electronic options available.
