The Spanish Association for Quality (AEC), designated by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), has the honour of being the exclusive organiser for Spain of World Quality Day, which was established by the UN in 1990. The AEC makes this an open and inclusive day, intended to bring together all those who are committed to Quality as a key discipline for ensuring the competitiveness of companies and the prosperity of countries, thus integrating all their views and perspectives in relation to the Quality discipline.
The AEC has more than 1,400 affiliates and over 1,000 members actively participating in the Communities, Committees and Forums.
The AEC is a non-profit private organisation that was founded in 1961 by a group of professionals and companies that considered Quality to be an essential discipline for organisations' competitiveness and for the modernisation of the country.
Conscious of how crucial quality is for organisations' competitiveness and for the well-being of society as a whole, UNE emphasises that quality must form part of organisations' management strategies and must be a key asset for stimulating the economy and successfully leading in an ever-changing environment.
The day's events will involve first-rate business and professional leaders, who will share their real success stories across a variety of sectors. Among others, Javier García, UNE's Managing Director, will speak about the organisation's experiences and best practices.
