28 January is European Data Protection Day. It is aimed at promoting knowledge among citizens of their rights and responsibilities with regard to data protection.
The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, is participating in Project Smooth, which seeks to help micro-enterprises to adopt and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by designing and implementing affordable and easy-to-use tools. This will create awareness of their obligations with respect to the GDPR and will analyse their level of compliance with the new data protection regulations.
