This year, the Spanish Association of Security Companies (AES) celebrates the 40th anniversary of its founding.
40 years ago, a group of entrepreneurs decided to establish the Association with the aim of promoting the Private Security industry, turning the AES into a leading association in the physical safety and electronic surveillance industry and a sectoral benchmark in Spain.
AES has been a member of the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, since 1991 and has led the development of key standards for the competitiveness of its partners. The Association manages the secretariat of CTN 108 on Physical and Electronic Security. Protection and Alarm Systems and CTN 108/SC 79 on Alarm Systems.
Its activities in the field of standardisation have made the AES fundamental to the development and publication of European product standards on this sector in Spain.
