First global Anti-bribery standard

ISO 37001, drawn up by experts from 37 countries, including Spain via AENOR.

• This document, which has aroused great interest all around the world, establishes the requirements for introducing a management system that helps to prevent, detect and manage conduct that may constitute bribery, complying with legislation and other commitments made voluntarily. The standard will be certifiable by an independent third party.

• Among other requirements, ISO 37001 establishes that organisations must develop an anti-bribery policy and procedures for implementing it; the leading role of senior management; the appointment of a person responsible for overseeing the implementation of the model of compliance; staff training; financial and commercial controls, corrective action and measures for constant improvement.
