Regarding international cooperation, the meeting also focused on the status of the Twinning Project with Georgia, which seeks to align Georgian technical requirements with those of the EU, as well as the status of the Serbian Project.

Attending the meeting were Javier García, Director General of UNE and Vice-President of ISO; José Ángel Robles, Director of CEM; and Beatriz Rivera, Managing Director of the ENAC. Paloma García, UNE's Director of Standardisation Programmes and Stakeholders, and Mónica Sanzo, Director of Cooperation and International Relations at UNE were also present.

Strong quality infrastructure contributes to increasing the competitiveness of sectors of activity and to the Spanish economic and industrial fabric, improving the effective functioning of the EU Internal Market and access to third country markets.

UNE, CEM and ENAC are the three main pillars of quality infrastructure in Spain. Their collaboration in standardisation, metrology and accreditation drives the competitiveness of the Spanish production network, in addition to ensuring reliability and building trust.
