itSMF España holds its Annual Congress # Vision19 with the support of UNE

20/11/2019

  • itSMF España receives the support of the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, to promote initiatives designed to develop, nationally and internationally, Best Governance and IT Service Management, during its annual # Vision19 Congress. As an example, UNE's CTN 71, which promotes SEAD, is developing standards to support the Digital Economy.

20 November 2019. itSMF España is a professional, non-profit association that has the mission to promote knowledge sharing among all the professionals in the Community.  #Vision19 is the annual congress to be held in Madrid, in the Harley Ventas Space, on 27 and 28 November under the name "Service Governance and Management in an As a Service world." "The objective of the Congress is to address, from Service Governance and Management in an increasingly As-a-Service world, the challenges facing organisations as part of business transformation", declared Javier Peris, executive vice-president of itSMF.

Similarly, # Vision19 provides an opportunity for the different Councils, Regional Committees and new Working Groups that have been formed and that make up the community, to share experiences. Javier Peris continued by saying: "The aim of these Committees is to address the new challenges of the digital age with a renewed vision: new technologies, organisational change, agility, good governance and management."

Paloma García, UNE Director of Standardization and Stakeholder Programmes of the Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, declared: "The Spanish Standardization Organization, as Congress collaborator, aims to contribute. Technical standards are a driving force in the success of the Digital Economy. Overall, more than 2,600 standards contribute to building trust in organisations in the ICT sector."

Paloma Garcia stated that "UNE carries the opinions of the industry's experts in Spain to international standardisation forums where key standards for the competitiveness of organisations are developed. This is done through Technical Standardization Committees, such as CTN 71 on Digital Enabling Technologies, chaired by the Secretary of State for Digital Advancement (SEAD), which works in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (IA), the Internet of Things ( IoT), Blockchain and Smart Cities, among others."

In this regard, on 27 November, following the frameworks and standards block, the new National Subcommittee CTN71/SC40 "Management and Governance of IT services" will be formed within UNE, headed by itSMF. Its objective is to become the Spanish reference for the development of standards, reports and technical specifications in the field of IT Management and Governance, being the channel of influence in international developments in ISO and IEC, where projects on IT activities are already underway.

After the first block on Standards and Methodology, which dealt for the first time with ITIL ® 4, to the Spanish contribution to the ISO 20000 International Committee on IT Services Quality, the SC40 will outline its objectives, in exhibition area 1, with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Enterprise, together with Antonio Alcolea, deputy director general of Development of the Information Society of SEAD.

Durante el Congreso también se va a tratar el aporte español a la ISO 35500, focalizada en los marcos y normas para el Gobierno de la Tecnología y se presentará la futura ISO entorno al gobierno de blockchain, propuesta por España.

The Congress will have an exhibition area for networking, where presentations by the Gold sponsors, Obsidian, Servicenow and Volteo, the Silver sponsors, Optima, Tecnofor y Peoplecert&Axelos and the Bronze sponsors, Econocom, Exin, Gfi, Proactivanet and Silverstorm, will be held.

# Vision19 will receive the support of the following collaborating entities: Ministry of Economy and Enterprise, UNE (Spanish Association for Standardization), CRUETIC (Governing Council of Spanish Universities ICT), FAIS (Federación de Asociaciones de Informáticos de Sanidad) and Tecnología y Senido Común.
