During the seminar, the key points of the new European standardisation documents on accessibility in the built environment will be presented, as well as how they will help users in their day-to-day life.

The European Standardization Bodies CEN and CENELEC, as part of CEN-CENELEC JTC 11, with the promotion and support of the European Commission, have just published the first European standard on accessibility of the built environment, EN 17210: 2021.

Shortly it will be complemented with two European Technical Reports on technical specifications to meet the functional requirements set out in the standard and on its conformity assessment.

The workshop is especially aimed at those responsible for public procurement, drafting legal regulations, designing buildings and public spaces, and anyone interested in having more accessible spaces.
