4 October 2019. Nieves Olivera Pérez-Frade, Managing Director of the School of Industrial Organization, and Javier García, Managing Director of the Spanish Association for Standardisation-UNE, signed an agreement at EOI today to collaborate in the access and dissemination of UNE standards, with a view to promoting entrepreneurial initiatives and especially SMEs.
The agreement aims to make UNE standards known to entrepreneurs and professionals who attend educational courses at the EOI, as well as to help them to carry out their activities and understand public policies and regulations promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
Technical standards reflect the market consensus on best practices in key aspects for the competitiveness of organizations and are a useful tool for support for public policies. Specifically, 12% of UNE standards are cited in national law.
With this agreement, EOI commits to implementing an access point in its branches to help students in the training programmes, SMSs and start-ups to find UNE standards, to support training in matters of standards and to collaborate in the dissemination of UNE regulatory documents.
The Spanish Association for Standardization - UNE commits to proposing formulas to help EOI to comply with the commitment it as taken on with this agreement.
