O.N.C.E. and AENOR leaders in the first European standard in accessibiity in the built environment

Spain is a global reference in technical standards on accessibility.

• The first European standard in the field now under development, in response to a mandate from the European Commission. This working group is chaired by Jesús Hernández Galán (Fundación O.N.C.E.) with AENOR as Secretary.

• There are 75 standards and projects underway in Spain that establish accessibility requirements in various fields: universal accessibility and design for all, building and town planning, smart cities, tourism, website contents and transport, among others.
