The Spanish Association of Standardisation, UNE, and the National Association of Insulating Materials Manufacturers (ANDIMAT) held the online Conference "The standardisation of thermal insulating in the framework of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR)" on Thursday, 12 December.
The new aspects included in the new Construction Products Regulation were analysed, with an impact on topics such as sustainability and digitisation, areas identified by the European Commission as key to the marketing of construction products, including those related to thermal insulation.
Also addressed was the CPR Acquis process to revise the thermal insulation products mandate, which has been under way for two years, with the collaboration of experts from various European and Spanish organisations. This revised mandate will be the basis for the development of new harmonised European standards, which will allow for the CE Marking, as well as the drafting of future Performance and Compliance Declarations for thermal insulation products.
The Conference was attended by Javier López-Quiles, UNE's Construction Project Manager, and David Molina de Ramón, ANDIMAT's Technical Director.
