12/08/2025

On 27 June, the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, held the UNE Meeting: "New standards for sustainability and financial education" at its headquarters, focused on standardisation initiatives that have emerged with the aim of responding to new needs in the financial field, both within and outside the industry.

During the session, the following were presented: the new standards that incorporate key aspects such as sustainability, the professionalisation of financial processes, and the improvement of citizens' financial knowledge.

The aim of the session was to make known the existing initiatives, determine the national interest in them and analyse the feasibility of creating a standardisation group that allows Spanish organisations to influence and participate in international and national developments. Attendees had the opportunity to share opinions and ask relevant questions.

The event was attended by Paloma García, Iván Moya and Marta Fernández, from UNE; César Pérez-Chirinos, from CTN 71/SC 307 Blockchain and Distributed Registration Technologies; Andrea González, from SPAINSIF; Mario Cantalapiedra, from ASSET; and Dositeo Amoedo, from AEPF.
