Standardization of: The design, the processes and products used by shipyards, equipment manufacturers and auxiliary industry in shipbuilding and in maintenance and repair activities for ships, vessels and marine equipment, floating or fixed, in coastal waters and open sea. It also includes pollution, marine environmental matters used in shipbuilding, comprising the ships and marine equipment design, clean processes in shipyards and their end-life recycling. With the exclusion of specifications competence of other CTN: - Standardisation of electric and electronic components and equipments inside ships, vessels and marine equipment (IEC/TC 18). - Standardisation of maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment and systems (IEC/TC 80). - Internal combustion engines (ISO/TC 70). - Offshore structures for petroleum and natural gas industries, including procedures for assessment of the site specific application of mobile offshore drilling and accommodation units for the petroleum and natural gas industry (ISO/TC 67/SC 7). - Steel and aluminium structures (ISO/TC 167). - Equipment which is not specific for use on board ships and marine structures and falling within the scope of other committee.
