CTN 22 - Mineral raw materials, Mining and explosives

Secretary:
FGUPM - FUNDACIÓN GENERAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID. LABORATORIO OFICIAL J.M. MADARIAGA (LOM)
Field of Activity:
Standardization of: Characterization, classification, cataloging and utilization of mineral raw materials (solid mineral fuels including cokes, metallic minerals, non-metallic minerals, rare earths, industrial rocks, ornamental rocks and aquifers), such as denomination, sampling methods, tests methods and quality specifications, etc. The specifications regarding materials, machinery and equipment, procedures and practices, used in the prospecting, exploration, exploitation and beneficiation of mineral resources; The techniques, procedures and good practice codes used in mining engineering geotechnical, including plans and designs used in mine geometry, as well as the elaboration of sustainable mining management indicators; The specifications referring to personal and collective protection equipment and systems associated with equipment used exclusively in mines; Safety requirements for reciprocating and rotary internal combustion engines intended for equipping machines for underground work; Sustainable raw materials according to industry best practices, throughout the value chain of all mineral raw materials, from extraction (mining and quarrying) to processing, refining and manufacturing of the final product, including the entire upstream and downstream value chain. Included are the rehabilitation of mines and quarries, circular economy processes for extractive waste management and resource efficiency in mineral raw materials; Manufacturing, reception, testing, characterization and technical assessment of gunpowders, explosives, support for explosives, cartridge ammunition, pyrotechnic products and their mixtures, as well as raw materials and devices loaded with them, such as igniters, detonators, blasting cap, bengals , etc.; Methods, elements or apparatus for the measuring, recording and interpretation of vibrations that could be produced by blasting. With the exception of: Aggregates; Standards on quality management and environmental management systems and tools are the responsibility of other committees.
