The Directorate for International Cooperation and Relations is responsible for implementing all stages of technical support projects in developing countries. It focuses its activities on projects financed by multilateral (European Union, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, etc.) and bilateral entities like GIZ or Swedish Aid, aimed at strengthening the quality infrastructure capacity of organisations; promoting institutional support, public policies, competitiveness in the private sector and best practices; and facilitating trade by eliminating technical barriers in all sectors.
Since the 1990s the Spanish Association for Standardisation-UNE has been promoting cooperation activities, contributing its experience and knowledge as tools for facilitating market access, technology transfer, and sustainable growth; fostering international policies in the EU and Spain; and harmonising the requirements for accessing other markets.
The Directorate for International Cooperation and Relations is responsible for strengthening relationships with peer entities by developing tailor-made projects, signing MoUs, and organising institutional visits.
The leadership and experience gained in all the disciplines covered by our organisation enable the Spanish Association for Standardisation-UNE to offer assistance and practical experience in the various fields that boost the building of competitive structures as well as economic and social development.
