Field of Activity:
Standardization of: - Terminology, definitions, classification and symbols related to corrosion phenomena in metallic materials. - Test methods for determination of corrosion resistance of metallic materials. - Corrosion-protective organic and inorganic coatings for metallic materials, covering terminology, substrate surface preparation, specifications and test methods and applications. - Other corrosion protective methods of metallic materials, as cathodic protection and corrosion inhibitors, covering terminology, specifications and test methods and applications. - Coordination activities in the field of corrosion and protection of metallic materials which can affect other Technical Committees, and elaboration of recommendations on installation, use and maintenance of supply lines in order to prevent corrosion.
