The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has announced the election of Ulrika Francke, of the Swedish Standards Institute (SIS), as the next ISO president for the period 2022-2023, following the voting that has taken place among its member bodies. The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, is the Spanish member of the ISO.
The Vice-President of SIS will take up her position in ISO in January 2022, once the current President, Eddy Njoroge from Kenya, has completed his term of office.
The next ISO president has extensive experience in standardisation. Prior to joining SIS, she was Chair of the BIM Alliance, an organisation responsible for developing standards for the real estate and construction industry.
Ulrika Francke´s career has spanned both public and private sectors.
