CEN and CENELEC's commitment to strengthening the single market with technical standards

The European standardization bodies CEN and CENELEC, whose Spanish member is UNE, have shared their Declaration for the next legislative cycle (2024-2029). It calls on European institutions to commit to priorities that enable the proper functioning of the single market, backed by a solid European System for Standardization, in keeping with the European Standardization Strategy.

The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, and the Spanish Group for Green Growth (GECV) share the goal of having economic activity help preserve the environment. Climate, the circular economy, natural capital, sustainable finance and the energy transition are part of the work programmes of both entities.
