The Director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs at UNE, Nuria Alcañiz, accepted the recognition award granted by the Madrid Food Bank Foundation (FBAM) during the Appreciation Day: 30th Anniversary of the Madrid Food Bank Foundation, held on 29 October at the organization’s headquarters, located at the San Fernando School in Madrid.
To mark its thirty years of activity, the Foundation sought to recognize the collaboration and solidarity of the companies and institutions that have contributed to its mission of supporting people in vulnerable situations.
Over the past three decades, the FBAM has become a benchmark organization in the fight against hunger and food waste, distributing more than 22 million kilos of food each year among over 540 charitable entities in the Madrid region.
During the event, the FBAM emphasized the importance of the business community’s involvement in sustaining its work, which is grounded in the values of solidarity, transparency, and social commitment—principles shared by UNE in the implementation of its corporate responsibility strategy.
This recognition reflects UNE’s commitment to social action and sustainability, supporting initiatives that promote societal well-being and improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable individuals.
