The UNE Subcommittee on Regulatory Inspection in Low-Voltage Electrical Installations (CTN 192/SC 7) has just published the UNE 192007-2-30 standard "Procedure for regulatory inspection. Low Voltage Electrical Installations. Part 2-30: Locations with special characteristics".
This standard supplements part one (general requirements) of the UNE 192007 series, and defines several types of locations with special characteristics (wet, at risk of corrosion, etc.); it also specifies the modifications to the inspection and evaluation means and methodologies with respect to the general part.
Simultaneously, the UNE Subcommittee on electricial installations and protection against electric shock (CTN 202/SC 64) has published the standard UNE 202009-30 "Guide for the verification and inspection of low-voltage electricity installations in locations with special characteristics", which provides important guidelines for the application of the first part.
Both standards support ITC BT 30 of the 2002 Low-Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations, and contribute to its main objectives: "preserve the safety of people and goods, ensure the proper operation of these installations and prevent disturbances in other installations and services, and contribute to the technical reliability and economic efficiency of the installations".
