Paloma García, UNE Director of Standardisation and Stakeholder Programmes at the Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE), attended the 33rd Road Week organised by the Spanish Road Association (AEC).
At the meeting, which coincided with the 75th anniversary of the Spanish Road Association, a panel discussion was held on the digital transformation of the road sector.
In her talk, Paloma García presented the UNE 0087 Specification, which sets out the common framework for sectoral data spaces. Backed by SEDIA and developed with the input of over 50 organisations, it ensures sovereignty, security, interoperability and value for the data economy.
She also outlined advances in European AI standards and the significance of UNE-ISO/IEC 42001, which enables organisations to implement and certify AI management systems to secure robust social governance and a positive impact on society.
