On the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day, the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE), has launched today the forum "Women in Standardisation" a space where the debate and reflection on how women can be promoted in this activity has taken place.
To achieve shared progress, UNE considers it essential to create a more egalitarian world, where women's vision and voice are present in all areas because only in this way can we effectively respond to the challenges and challenges that need to be addressed as a society.
At this first meeting, held at the UNE headquarters, the women who form part of the Board of Directors and the Association's Steering Committee participated, who were accompanied by the UNE's CEO and ISO vice-president Javier García; and part of the Association's management team: Paloma García, Virginia Vidal, Nuria Alcañiz y Vanesa Guerrero, as well as Natalia Ortiz.
Specifically, at this first meeting they shared their vision and perspectives: Mar Duque, from the Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association (AFBEL); Marta San Román, from the Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers Association (AFEC); Sandra Correal from the Spanish Plastics Industry Association (ANAIP); Rosa Sánchez and Pilar Ayuso from the National Association for the Standardisation of Equipment and Industrial Safety (BEQUINOR); Pilar López from the Spanish Association of Electricity Distributors (CIDE); Begoña Beltrán, of the Spanish Intertextile Council (CIE); Ana María García, from the National Confederation of Installation and Fluid Associations (CONAIF); Sonia Pomar of the Association of Manufacturers and Issuers of Heat Generators (FEGECA); Alicia García-Franco, from the Spanish Federation for Recovery and Recycling (FER); Gloria Lázaro, from the Spanish Recyclers Paper and Board Association (REPACAR); and María Moreno López de Ayala of the Spanish Association of Construction Companies and Infrastructure Concessionaires (SEOPAN).
