UNE provides training to standardization bodies of the Persian Gulf

24/07/2024

This week, the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, is in Dubai, invited by GSO, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Standardization Organization, giving training to standardization bodies of Persian Gulf countries.

Daniel Massó, Head of Knowledge and the 2030 Agenda at UNE, is training the organizations of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar and Yemen to develop National Standardization Strategies as per the ISO methodology.

This is a great opportunity to share best practices, discuss trends in standardization (digitization, climate change, SMART standards) and strengthen ties with these countries.

UNE is heavily involved in international cooperation activities in markets that are relevant to the commercial interests of Spanish companies, which hold high places in the ranking of exports toward countries in the Gulf region.
