Spain and Italy share their strategies to promote standardisation

​​​​​​​​The Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, and the Italian Ente di Normazione, UNI, held a meeting on 8-9 April at UNE's headquarters at which they shared projects, methodologies and strategies for effectively addressing the challenges facing organisations and making standardisation more accessible to society.

The working agenda covered topics related to the European Standardisation Strategy and international and European standardisation bodies: EISMEA projects, the European High-Level Forum on Standardisation and the strategic sectors for the European Commission in developing new standards along with technical assistance projects in various countries and sustainability reports.

They also discussed internal management aspects of both entities including technology, brand and communication strategy and HR management.

Taking part in the bilateral meeting from UNI were: Ruggero Lensi, Director General; Gianna Zappi, Deputy Director General of Sustainability and Values; Stefano Sibiu, Deputy Director General of Processes and Regulation; Gian Luca Salerio, Head of International Policies, and Lucia Ramazzotti, Head of Coordination and Media. From UNE: Javier García, Director General of UNE and Vice-President of ISO; Paloma García, Director of Standardisation Programmes and Stakeholder Engagement; Mónica Sanzo, Director of International Cooperation and Relations at UNE; Virginia Vidal, Director of Processes and Technology; Nuria Alcañiz, Director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs; Alberto Martín Bravo, Director of Communication; and Pablo Corrons, Director of Intellectual Property and Content Distribution.
